Alliance Cologne 99/Bündnis Köln 99, June 18-20, 1999. A broad alliance of NGOs organized a variety of activities. The organizations included BUND (Friends of the Earth, Germany), Projekt Interkonti, Medico International, Terre des hommes, WEED, Reclaim the Streets (London), Les Périphériques vous parlent, Inter Continental Caravan, Peoples' Global Action, Pericles, France, the youth organizations of the Social Democratic Party and the Green Party (which are now the government), womens' organizations, church groups, immigrant groups, trade unions, human rights organizations, etc.
TOES '98 - UK, the Peoples' Summit (May 15-17) was organized by the New Economics Foundation (NEF) in Birmingham, England.
