“It’s hard to pick a favorite memory; there are so many. I’ve been a member of Penn Electric Racing since my freshman year, so one that will definitely stick with me is the first time I drove Rev11, our car this year. It’s hard to put into words how euphoric I was when I felt the raw acceleration pushing me into the seat, heard the high-pitched whine of the motor spinning right behind me at thousands of RPM, and realized that we had achieved truly high-performance electromechanical integration months faster than in any past year. Nothing compares to building, failing, iterating, and succeeding, and none of it would have been possible without the department’s support and the knowledge and skills we’ve acquired through our coursework.”
