Engineering and Roboticists | Lyte
Lyte is building the perception layer for robotics and physical AI. We are looking for engineers and roboticists with a strong interest in SLAM, state estimation, and computer vision. This role centers around developing mapping and 3D reconstruction software for industrial robots.

Come work with Gareth Cross and Julien Martel on the future of robot perception! We are located in Sunnyvale, California.

# What we look for

  • Are you drawn to problems that occur at the intersection of geometry, sensing, and computing?
  • Do you love diving into the implementation details of an algorithm, and optimizing it until it shines?
  • Are beautiful 3D visualizations something you can’t live without?

If you answered *yes* to any of the questions above, then Lyte may be right for you.

# What you’ll do

  • Develop sensor-fusion algorithms for online state-estimation using factor graphs (SLAM).
  • Build high quality maps using 3D reconstruction techniques (SDFs, gaussian splats, bundle adjustment).
  • Implement performant perception algorithms using C++, CUDA, and Python.
  • Work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with opportunities for meaningful ownership.

Teaching Assistant for ESE 3040
Looking for undergrads or master’s students for a TA position for ESE 3040 for the fall semester. Must have a strong understanding of linear and convex optimization. This includes not just a knowledge of the algorithms, but the structural properties of such problems (duality, theorems of the alternatives, KKT conditions). In addition must have a good grasp of formulation and how to interpret the output of an LP solver and sensitivity analysis. Duties include grading, testing problem sets, exams and office hours. Over the course of a semester should average out to 5-6 hours a week. Reach out to Professor Rakesh Vohra (rvohra@seas.upenn.edu) if interested.

Teaching Assistant for ESE 5700
Looking for a TA for ESE 5700 for the fall semester. Must have taken ESE 5700 or equivalent and received high marks. Please contact Prof. Radway (radway@seas.upenn.edu) if interested with your resume.
