Artificial Intelligence Major
The AI degree provides the mathematical and algorithmic foundations of AI techniques, along with hands-on experience in programming as well as using AI tools and foundation models. Complementing these engineering skills with a broader perspective, students learn about intelligence from a cognitive science perspective, and they develop a sense of the issues (and solutions) required to responsibly develop AI to benefit society.
Artificial Intelligence Degree Requirements
All candidates for a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E) degree are required to satisfactorily complete a minimum of 37 course units. (A lecture or laboratory course meeting three or four hours a week typically carries one course unit. Some courses carry more than one course unit; examples include lecture courses with a substantial laboratory component.) View Course Requirements
